Its taken me a year but redhousephotographys' blogspot is back! after getting my head around Facebook (they don't give many instructions do they!) i have set my sights on relaying what i do in detail.
At the moment i am all set for a summer of weddings, 25 to be exact and have had 2 pre-wedding meetings this week finalising the important details for their days. May is set to be my busiest ever with 7 weddings.
The Event side of the photography is on the increase. A sports based events company has taken trust in me to photograph their events & sports testimonials. The last one involving England Rugby Stars James Simpson Daniel and Mike (Lord) Tindal (yes the one marrying Zara Phillips) There are more of this type planned for the forthcoming months inc Golf days etc...
This year has seen me become established and trusted by the Charity FLY2HELP. Based at the Cotswolds Airport i was first introduced to them when requested to photograph their mascot 'Douglas' last year at RAF Lyneham. The charity provide 'Airsmiles Days' and supports those with life-limiting and chronic illnesses; families struggling to live with bereavement and disability, isolation or financial deprivation and people who have suffered extreme neglect and abuse. They get to spend the day at the airport visiting all areas, have a lunch and then taken in an aircraft weather it be a helicopter, light aircraft or corporate jet. I am lucky to photograph the days and images are then placed into a photobook for a keepsake souvenier. As a former RAF person I feel proud to give my time up and put something back into the world which I can do well and that is take pictures.
